- Village begins looking for a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) to manage their brownfield grant.

- The Village hires Fehr Graham Engineering & Environmental in May.
- In June, 11 sites from Group D and E are submitted to the US EPA to determine if they qualify for brownfield eligibility. 9 sites are approved.
- Phase I ESAs are performed on the 9 approved sites in July and August.
- 4 of the Phase I ESA sites in Group E are determined to have the potential for contamination and are recommended for Phase II ESAs.
- From August to October, 20 sites from Group B and E are submitted to the US EPA to determine if they qualify for brownfield eligibility. All 20 sites are approved.
- The first community meeting to discuss the Town Center Plan, including brownfield grant activities, is held on October 24.
- Phase I ESA is performed on 7 of the sites from group B from October to November.
- Phase II ESAs are started on the 4 sites from Group E in December.
- Phase I ESAs are started on 4 of the sites from Group B & E in December.
- Totals for 2024 are 29 EPA site approvals and 9 Phase I ESAs.

- Phase I ESA on 7 group B sites is completed in January. It is determined that these sites have the potential for contamination and are recommended for a Phase II ESA.
- Phase I ESAs on 4 of the sites from Group B & E are completed in January. It is determined that these sites have the potential for contamination and are recommended for Phase II ESAs.
- Phase II ESAs on the 4 sites from Group E are completed in January.
- In January, 3 sites from Group C are submitted to the US EPA to determine if they qualify for brownfield eligibility. All 3 sites are approved.
- In February, 6 sites from Group A are submitted to the US EPA to determine if they qualify for brownfield eligibility. All 6 sites are approved.
- In February, richtonparkbrownfields.com is launched, providing the community with information regarding the Village of Richton Park brownfield grant.
- In April the Phase I ESA is completed for the 6 approved sites from Group A. It is determined that these sites have the potential for contamination and are recommended for a Phase II ESA.
- In May, Phase I ESAs are completed for 2 of the approved sites from Group E. It is determined that these sites have the potential for contamination and are recommended for Phase II ESAs.
- In June, a Phase I ESA is completed for the 3 approved sites from Group C and 1 site from Group B.
- In June, 2 sites from Group F are submitted to the US EPA to determine if they qualify for brownfield eligibility. Both sites are approved.
- In July, 6 sites from Group C are submitted to the US EPA to determine if they qualify for brownfield eligibility. All 6 sites are approved.
- In August, Phase I ESAs are completed for the 6 approved sites from Group B, as well as 1 site from Group F. It is determined that these sites have the potential for contamination and are recommended for a Phase II ESA.
- In August, a Phase I ESA is completed for the other approved site from Group F.
- In October, a Phase II ESA is completed for the 6 Group A sites.
- Totals for 2025 are 17 EPA site approvals, 11 Phase I ESAs, and 5 Phase II ESAs.

- In February, an additional site from Group F was submitted to the US EPA to determine if it qualifies for brownfield eligibility and is approved.
- In February, the Phase I ESA for the Group F site is started.
- Additional Phase AI ESAs to be performed at sites within the Town Center Plan.
- Additional Phase II ESAs to be performed as necessary, based on the findings of the Phase I ESAs.
- Next community meeting, date TBD, will be held to update the community on the progress of the Town Center Plan and brownfield activities.
